The Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) takes a deliberate approach to managing risk to business operations with a formal Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) system. Recently, that system was recognized as a business best practice among industry peers at the Risk Management Society (RIMS) ERM annual conference.

KCNSC is constantly evolving this tiered system to provide valuable data to manage top risks to the business and enable senior leadership to make risk-based decisions for mission success.  Honeywell has shared benchmarking data, lessons learned, and best practices across NNSA by leading quarterly nuclear security enterprise ERM forums and workshops and by supporting the Department of Energy’s ERM goals.
