* These maps have been updated to reflect additional lands open to Federal subsistence in the vicinity of Paxson Lake.  All State of Alaska "Areas with Restrictions" are depicted on Bureau of Land Management's GMU 13 Federal subsistence maps.  However, not all State of Alaska "Areas of Restriction" are closed or restricted for Federally qualified subsistence hunters within those areas on Federal public lands.  (For example, Federal public lands within the State of Alaska's "Paxson Closed Area" are currently open to the harvest of big game by Federal subsistence hunters.)  For information on which State of Alaska "Areas with Restrictions" are currently recognized in the "Subsistence Management Regulations for the Harvest of Wildlife on Federal Public Lands in Alaska, " refer to the Special Provisions sections of the regulations for GMU 13.  In addition you may call the BLM Glennallen Field Office at 907-822-3217 for further clarification.
