2012 EEO-1 Survey

THE 2012 EEO-1 SURVEY IS OPEN.

The Employer Information Report EEO-1, otherwise known as the EEO-1 Report, is required to be filed with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's EEO-1 Joint Reporting Committee. The filing deadline for the 2012 EEO-1 Survey is September 30, 2012.

The preferred method for completing the EEO-1 reports is the web-based filing system. Online filing requires you to log into your company's database with a Login ID and Password. All companies should receive  EEO-1 filing materials by mail no later than mid August 2012. If you cannot locate your Login ID and/or Password, contact the EEO-1 Joint Reporting Committee at e1.lostloginpassword@eeoc.gov.

  • No Installation: The online form is totally web based. There is no Software to download or install.
  • Data Reuse: As much as possible, information is pre-filled from the previous year to speed up data entry.
  • Secure: Data is transferred over the Internet using encryption, assuring your privacy.
  • Historical Access: Access up to 10 years worth of EEO-1 data for your establishments.

 EEO-1 ONLINE FILING PROCEDURE

Type 6 Records

If Type 6 records already exist in your company's EEO-1 online database, you must first enter employment data into the TYPE 2 (CONSOLIDATED REPORT) record for all company employees.  Then, enter employment data into the TYPE 3 (HEADQUARTERS REPORT) record and each TYPE 4 (ESTABLISHMENT REPORT) record.  Then, enter the employment total for each existing TYPE 6 record and click 'SAVE'If you need to add additional Type 6 records to your company's online database, click 'Add Location' (Main Menu screen), and click 'Next'.  Enter the name, complete address and total number of employees for each establishment, and click 'Save and Add Another' until all Type 6 records have been added.  After the last TYPE 6 record has been added, click 'SAVE'Please note that completion of the 'Employee Grid For All Type 6 Records' is no longer required.

Type 8 Records

If Type 8 records already exist in your company's EEO-1 online database, you cannot enter employment data into the TYPE 2 (CONSOLIDATED REPORT) record.  Employment data automatically populates the TYPE 2 (Consolidated Report) record including column and row totals, as you enter employment numbers for each data record in your company's EEO-1 online database.
