Seasonal leaf fall contributing to the availability of ground fuels on top of an historically dry fuel model. Rhododendron and Mountain Laurel fuels scattered within the interior.

Fire was flown by two different IR aircraft and no heat was detected within the perimeter.

Current Weather

Weather Concerns

High pressure brought clear skies and mild temperatures in the 60s. RH values at higher elevations only recovered into the 30s overnight and nighttime smoke production continued. High pressure will remain over the region through Sunday bringing drying with cool temperatures and a Northwest wind and strong night time inversions. Critical fire weather conditions are not expected over the next several days.
