Station operated in cooperation with the Ohio Water Development Authority. 
 04200500 Black River at Elyria, OH
 LOCATION.--Lat 41°22'49", long 82°06'17", Lorain County, OH, Hydrologic 
     Unit 04110001, on left bank in Cascade Park at Elyria, 0.8 mi downstream 
     from confluence of East and West Branches.
 DRAINAGE AREA.--396 mi2.
 PERIOD OF RECORD.--October 1944 to current year. Records for May 1903 to July 1906 
     (published as "near Elyria") in WSP 97, 129, and 205, are unreliable and should 
     not be used.
 REVISED RECORDS.--WSP 1912: Drainage area. See also PERIOD OF RECORD.
 REMARKS.--Some regulation at low flow for industrial use. Water-quality and sediment 
     sample data are available on NWISWEB (http://nwis.usgs.gov).
