National Prevention Strategy
Aims to guide our nation in the most effective and achievable means for improving health and well-being. This Strategy envisions a prevention-oriented society where all sectors recognize the value of health for individuals, families, and society and work together to achieve better health for all Americans.
National Prevention Council
Created through the Affordable Care Act, the National Prevention Council comprises 20 federal departments, agencies, and offices. Led by the U.S. Surgeon General, the National Prevention Council is committed to prevention and wellness for individuals, families, and communities.
Prevention Advisory Group
Offers policy and program recommendations to the National Prevention Council and advises them on effective, science-based prevention and health promotion practices.
