Dr. Terry Brog is the Director (interim) of PPPL. Dr. Brog has joined PPPL as Deputy Director for Operations as of June 20, 2016. Terry brings fantastic experience to PPPL. His most recent position has been the Strategic Program and Projects Director at the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL). He has previously served as the Chief Operations Officer for the Energy and Environment Directorate at PNNL. Terry earned a Ph.D.
Dr. Stacia A. Zelick is the Deputy Director for Operations (interim.) Zelick, whose first name is pronounced “Stay-sha,” said she likes the fact that she will have the opportunity to get involved in day-to-day operations. In her previous job as director of Information Technology at Rutgers University-Newark, Zelick managed a budget of more than $4 million and a staff of 26 full-time employees and 100 student employees.
Dr. Michael C. Zarnstorff is the deputy director for research at PPPL, where he oversees research that ranges from testing ideas for harnessing fusion to developing rockets for space flight. His job encompasses keeping projects aligned with DOE goals and envisioning new research opportunities for PPPL. An award-winning physicist and a co-discoverer of the bootstrap current, he joined PPPL in 1984 and has been deputy director for research since 2009.
Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory is a U.S. Department of Energy national laboratory managed by Princeton University.
