The Data Science Interest Group provides an informal opportunity for NIEHS scientists to discuss data science related topics and to increase awareness of Data Science application in environmental health sciences research.
Data Science includes spectrum of activities such as: collection, organization, analysis, visual representation and interpretation of data. We get together to share information about training opportunities and experiences, use of different data science tools in our daily research etc. for an ultimate purpose of extraction and communication of true, useful and timely meaning out of information, be it perfectly structured, complete chaos or something in-between.
