An eloquent advocate for early music, Richard Egarr brings a joyful sense of adventure to all his music-making. The exuberant, Grammy-winning Pacifica joins forces with German composer and clarinetist Jorg Widmann, well-matched partners for the striking works youll hear in this concert. Widmanns dramatic, sinister "Jagdquartett" is a grimly ironic scherzo channeling the intensity and chaos of the hunt, and the pyrotechnical brilliance of the Weber Clarinet Quintet is breathtaking.*PRE-CONCERT CONVERSATION 6:30 PM - Whittall Pavilion (no tickets required)*
