Purpose

To preserve the Northeast Fisheries Science Center historical data archives in digital format and to make the information available to users in the scientific community. This project was divided in two main categories: scanned images of biological and oceanographic data sheets (1948-1975) and the description of the data for selected bottom trawl surveys (1948-1962). This project was funded under an Environmental Services Data and Information Management Program grant (Project ID: NMFS_97_08).
