Rockford Beach Park
When you want to spend a relaxing afternoon next to the Big River, this is the spot for you. A dam creates a cascading waterfall producing an environment that naturally relaxes visitors. The river is commonly used for fishing, swimming and boating. Picnic facilities will provide you with tables, grills and a volleyball court. To challenge your angling skills, you may access the Big River by the concrete boat ramp on the up stream side of the dam.
Fee: Park security is provided at specific hours; as a result fees are charged during those time.
State fishing regulations
are imposed. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED!
A "Patrons of the Parks" pass is available to Jefferson County residents ONLY! In addition, you must be at least 55 years of age and/or a veteran of our Armed Services to be eligible. For a one time $20 fee, the cardholder and anyone else in their vehicle can enter any Jefferson County park facility at no charge. Contact any park cashier or our Park office for details.
NOTICE: The Big River is a swift moving stream. Strong currents produce dangerous swimming conditions. Life guards are not on duty. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK!
