Debt Collection System

Overview

The Debt Collection System (DCS) is a CMS developed system used to refer delinquent debts through the Program Support Center (PSC) to Treasury or a designated Debt Collection Center (DCC) in order to comply with the provisions of the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996 and the Digital Accountability and Transparency Act (DATA Act) of 2014. The DCS is also used to send and receive updates, such as collections and adjustments, to/from Treasury through the PSC for delinquent debts previously referred.  Currently Treasury collects over $63M annually.
