The section below contains links to resources related to the Sagebrush Ecosystem Curriculum project. We will update this area with additional resources as they become available. For questions regarding our Sagebrush Ecosystem Curriculum, please e-mail Anna Harris.
A formal educational program is being developed by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in collaboration with Engaging Every Student and other partners to help teachers to get students to think critically about the sagebrush ecosystem, and ways to protect it and the diverse species that live there.
With resources including lesson plans aligned to standards for grades 4-8, Sagebrush Ecosystem trunks developed by Audubon Rockies, short videos produced by RangeWide Productions and the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, an educational poster, and expert partners available for classroom visits and/or field work, we seek to connect with the next generation of land stewards. The program has the potential to touch the hearts and minds of tens of thousands of students over the next decade.

You can download an 8.5 x 11 inch version of "The Sagebrush Steppe" poster, which depicts a seek and find of the flora and fauna found within the ecosystem on one side and trivia on the back, by clicking here. This poster and associated lesson plan (available here) were created by Audubon Rockies. Though stock is limited, 18 x 24 inch posters are available by sending an email request to Jacelyn Downey at jdowney@audubon.org with the quantity and mailing address.

The Sagebrush Ecosystem Trunk contains all the materials an educator needs to introduce this ecosystem. This FREE resource is available to all educators in the intermoutain west regions that encompass the sagebrush ecosystems. Order a trunk here: Sagebrush Trunk
