Ecological Services North Dakota Field Office Station Facts:

The North Dakota Field Office, established in 1972, is one of 78 Ecological Services field stations across the United States.  Currently, we have a staff of 5 biologists, 2 budget and administration personnel, and a Field Supervisor. (Staff and Responsibilities).

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (Service) Office in Bismarck may be unique in the Service in that it includes not only Ecological Services, but also Wetland Habitat Office, Partners for Fish and Wildlife, Wetland Acquisition Office, the Habitat and Population Evaluation Team, Law Enforcement, Missouri River Fish and Wildlife Conservation Office, the Missouri River Coordinator, and the North Dakota Fire Dispatch Center.

Having all these divisions collocated is recognized within the Service as an outstanding asset of the North Dakota Office

The mission of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is working with Others to conserve, protect, and enhance fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American People.
