The Terrestrial Carbon Sequestration Program Office is in the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service’s Southeast Regional Office. The Program Office serves the Director and Regional Director as the Department of the Interior’s point of contact for terrestrial carbon sequestration and climate change issues that would benefit federal trust species.

The Program Office represents the Fish and Wildlife Service and the Department of the Interior on the Climate Change Technology Program committees chaired by the Department of Energy and the Department of Agriculture.

The Program Office provides coordination of terrestrial carbon sequestration projects, of a landscape scale, that will concurrently restore ecological functions and native habitats.
