Many parties are working on data finding tools or websites that make environmental data more accessible.  What sites should Data Finder link to?

I hope this site can include separate listings for GIS data. The ability to assemble custom data groupings and see geographical relationships is a powerful tool and free software like the improved CAMEO and ESRI’s ArcGis Explorer now provide this capability at no cost. EPA’s GIS data is presently hard to locate, and a simple listing of available data would be helpful. The National Geospatial program lists a mix of data services and data downloads, but the interface is very hard to use.

Thanks, we’ll take a look at these links. The GEOSS pages show databases as well as Partners and related sites.

Hi, I used to work on GEOSS which tried to collect all the data links at EPA. I see some dups but there may be data sources here that weren’t on the list. See the Databases sections.
