The EPA-funded Johns Hopkins PM Research Center (JHPMRC) brings together a multidisciplinary team of investigators to address one of the most critical gaps in current understanding of health and exposure to airborne particles—the physical and chemical characteristics that determine the risk posed to human health by inhalation of airborne particulate matter (PM).  It is one of five such Centers in the U.S.

The Center’s research is structured around three interconnected Projects supported by three research support Cores carried out in a three-phase program over five years.
