Couchbase Server can be deployed as a distributed cache, as a key / value store, or as a document database. It's easy to scale, it provides consistent low latency at high throughput, and it's always on.
Administrators can add nodes, remove nodes, or rebalance the data without bringing a Couchbase Server deployment down. In fact, it includes a powerful web interface for administrators. It enables them to manage and monitor a Couchbase Server deployment without having to install separate management and monitoring software.
Couchbase customers like Viber have been able to meet scalability and performance requirements during a period of hypergrowth by running Couchbase Server on AWS.
