Eagles Across America
Half a century ago, the bald eagle was in danger of extinction. Habitat loss, illegal shooting and food source contamination (largely via DDT) decimated bald eagle population. The Endangered Species Act, government banning of DDT and conservation actions taken by the public have helped lead a remarkable recovery.
