Competition is heating up in Blood Bank of Delmarva’s 7th annual Summer Blood Challenge - a friendly competition among employers throughout Delmarva competing to recruit the most blood donors and Blood Bank members. Your participation will help save lives and those recovering from serious illnesses and at the same time help prevent summer blood shortages.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON CHANGE IN DATE TO MINNESOTA LIFE INSURANCE COVERAGE REDUCTION FOR STATE EMPLOYEES RETIRING OR TERMINATING!
The State Employee Benefits Committee voted to delay the date of the implementation of the 50% reduction in the amount of Minnesota Life insurance coverage that can be ported at retirement or termination from State employment to July 1, 2009. Anyone whose last day of employment with the State is on or before June 30, 2009 will be able to port 100% of their Minnesota Life insurance coverage in effect as of their last day of employment. Anyone whose last day of employment with the State is on or after July 1, 2009 will be able to port 50% of their Minnesota Life insurance in effect as of their last day of employment. A revised communication and Certificate Endorsement will be mailed to all employees enrolled in the Minnesota Life insurance plan mid January.
