Facilities

Alchesay

The hatchery recently replaced the original 3,800 foot main water supply line and intake structure. The facility is currently under construction for additional water delivery and rearing facility upgrades.

To support our fish culturing activities we have 5 ponds, 2 banks of concrete raceways, a fish production building, and a water treatment facility.

To accommodate our visitors we have a designated parking lot along with a large picnic area and restrooms.

Williams Creek

The Hatchery underwent major expansion and improvement during the 1950’s, including new food preparation building, freezer room, cooler storage, and four additional earthen ponds. This was also the last year horse meat was used for fish food due to the scarcity of wild horses. Major rehabilitation also took place with all 24 concrete rearing tanks constructed and 15 raceways replacing ponds. The 80 year old Williams Creek facility is scheduled for further facility upgrades.

To support our fish culturing activities we have 5 ponds, 6 banks of concrete raceways, an oxygen generation building, 2 fish production buildings, and 2 water treatment facilities.

To accommodate our visitors we have designated parking lots along with picnic areas, restrooms, and nature trails.
