PENNSYLVANIA NATURAL HERITAGE PROGRAM (PNHP)
(PA Natural Diversity Inventory -- PNDI)

Conducts inventories and maintains data regarding the Commonwealth's native biological diversity, particularly for species of special concern. This data is used for the species of special concern (PNDI) Environmental Review process required in conjunction with DEP permitting. In addition, the data is used to assist with conservation-related activities and land use planning. PNHP is a partnership between The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, The Nature Conservancy and the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy, and in cooperation with the Pennsylvania Game Commission, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service and the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission.
