Facelift
Back in March, I posted this photo of the little townhouse on E 4th Street that stands in the shadow of 52E4.
Nine months later, behold!
What do you think?

Things are looking up
I'm liking the way the World Trade Center is coming along.
One World Trade is decked out in festive red and green:
Here it is reflected in another building:
I can finally visit the area and feel cheerful, something I never thought could ever be possible.

The sun always rises
Here he is again, on a different day, relishing his sunbeam.
This particular corner (Thompson and Spring) gets a nice big dose of sun in the mornings. On these cold days, it's especially delightful. Back in March, 2011, I posted about another man enjoying the sun on this block.

Eyes closed, mouth blissfully smiling, he was the picture of happiness and contentment . . . Nothing was going to tear him from that enchanted embrace. As I walked past, I smiled up at him and he continued to grin at the sun. I continued smiling all the way down the block and when I turned back, a shadow had fallen over the sidewalk and he was gone.Is there something magical going on at this intersection?
