Jets owner Woody Johnson will be the U.S. Ambassador to the United Kingdom, President-elect Donald Trump announced today in Washington. Trump referred to Johnson as "ambassador" during remarks at a D.C. luncheon, per the NY Post. This has been rumored for months. Johnson, a major Trump fundraiser, said recently it "would be an honor to be considered" for the post. Johnson would be required to live in England. He'd probably have to give up day-to-day control of the team. His brother, Christopher, reportedly could assume that role.

Obviously Davante's injury happened Sunday, and Geronimo's. We're going to give them the whole week. I'm not really concerned today. Falcons WR Julio Jones said he is "fine" and that he left last Saturday's game early because the game was pretty much won and he wanted to get "ahead of the curve" with ice and treatment on his toe injury. "I got a little snag and we thought, let's go check it out," Jones said. Jones said he has been dealing with the injury for weeks and "it works for us to be limited in practice and play Sunday."

The Cincinnati Reds have made a tremendous lopsided deal acquiring top pitching prospect Luis Castillo, legitimate bullpen arm in Austin Brice and an athletic OF prospect in Isaiah White. They sell high on Dan Straily, who's coming off his career best season but his peripherals say he won't repeat it. A back of rotation type starter. Castillo straight up for Straily would have been a win for the Reds. Great job of grinding by Reds GM Dick Williams on this one.
