Nour Park zoo is a home for monkeys, horses, bears, and other animals, in Mosul. ISIS overran the city and used the zoo as a staging ground, but Iraqi and coalition forces have been advancing and retaking the city. New photos from the zoo show the animals that have been neglected and left to starve.

WATCH: At the National Prayer Breakfast this morning, Pres. ‘Up Helly Aa’, the traditional festival of fire, celebrates the influence of the Scandinavian Vikings in the Shetland Islands in Scotland. The spectacular event takes place annually on the last Tuesday of January. The climax of the day comes with participants in full costume hauling a Viking longboat through the streets of Lerwick to the edge of town where up to 1000 people parade and throw their flaming torches into the galley.
