Choose from more than 300 available exams across a wide variety of medical specialties, searchable by topic, with three new exams available each week. The exams are taken online, but the questions also appear each week in the print issues. You can earn one AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for each successfully completed exam and up to two credits for successfully completed Interactive Medical Case exams.

Accreditation information

The Massachusetts Medical Society is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

You must receive a score of 100% to receive AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Once you have successfully completed the exam, you can claim your credit for the exam.

NEJM Weekly CME

The Massachusetts Medical Society designates this journal-based CME activity for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Interactive Medical Cases

The Massachusetts Medical Society designates this journal-based CME activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 2 MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.

Objectives

After evaluating a specific article published in the New England Journal of Medicine, participants in the NEJM Weekly CME Program should be able to demonstrate an increase in, or affirmation of, their knowledge of clinical medicine. Participants should be able to evaluate the appropriateness of the clinical information as it applies to the provision of patient care.

Pricing

NEJM Subscribers

You receive 20 free Weekly CME exams per year with your paid individual subscription to NEJM — exams you can access online at your convenience. Additional exams are available at the preferred subscriber rate of $15 per exam or in bundles of 10 for $55.

Take the exams at your own pace — we will keep track of your Weekly CME activity and how many exams you have left.

Nonsubscribers

NEJM Weekly CME exams are also available to nonsubscribers at a rate of $19 per exam and $109 for bundles of 10 exams, to be used over time. We will keep track of your credits and completed exams. Fees include full-text access to the source articles for the exams.
