Scattered to numerous showers and isolated thunderstorms can be expected today as a nearly stationary cold front meanders along the coastal counties. The rain is expected to briefly decrease this afternoon ahead of the next upper level disturbance that will approach South Texas tonight. Highs will range from mid 60s to around 70.
Shower and thunderstorm activity is expected to increase once again tonight as an upper level disturbance approaches South Texas. The highest rainfall chances will be across the eastern portions of South Texas as a weak cold front pushes across the coastal waters. While widespread and prolonged rains are not currently expected, nearly everyone should receive at least a little bit of rain. An isolated strong to severe storm will also be possible. Lows will be in the 50s.
Scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms expected Thursday morning. Drier Thursday afternoon and evening. Increasing moisture and a weak upper level disturbance will contribute to isolated showers Friday over the Coastal Bend. Drier Saturday. A strong upper level disturbance is expected to move across the Southern Plains Saturday night and Sunday. In response, a frontal boundary will move across South Texas Saturday night. Much drier, windy and cooler conditions Sunday. Critical Fire Weather conditions possible Sunday afternoon. Gale force wind possible over the Offshore Waters Sunday. Weaker winds Monday.
