Institutional Programs
CIRES supports a Graduate Student Research Award program to promote student scholarship and research excellence. The goal of the program is to recognize the scholarship and merit of CIRES' outstanding graduate students.
The CGA (CIRES Graduate Association) was created in the fall of 2008 to provide a connection to the graduate students who come from the various academic units to do research in CIRES, in a supportive, unified environment.
CIRES sponsors a prestigious Visiting Fellows program, inviting scientists to join the thriving community of research scientists in Boulder, Colorado.
The CIRES Outstanding Performance Awards are targeted at projects that are novel, high impact and show remarkable creativity or resourcefulness.
The Innovative Research Program is designed to stimulate a creative research environment within CIRES and to encourage synergy between disciplines and research colleagues.
The CIRES Members' Council (CMC) was created in 1997 to act as an information and policy conduit between CIRES' leadership and the Institute's Members (Associate Scientists, Research Scientists, and Administrative Associates).
