I want to be able to publish a map service from desktop but I don't want to waste a lot of time picking symbols that will cause problems in AGOL. Does anyone have a symbol set of AGOL symbols?

I have a topcon grs-1 with magnet field software. It works great when I am entering new information. We have shapefiles that do not have gps coordinates and we want to take them from ArcGis Desktop and put on the grs-1 to get them. I was wondering if anyone uses topcon and can help me with this? Consider if you will polygon A of a standard unchanging dimension. I have been unable to find any other discussions that address quite this issue so far. My problem is that when I took a large polygon or two and split into many smaller polygons (a new subdivision), those new polygons have not labeled. I have tried switching to Maplex engine and back. Do the labels appear if you select "Never remove (place overlapping)" under Conflict Resolution in Placement Properties? Also, try viewing unplaced labels via the Labeling toolbar to get an idea if the labels are there and not displaying, or not there at all:
Next week ESRI is going to completely phase out their concurrent user licensing model and replace it with a named user license model.
