Since 1865, the Montana Historical Society has been here to preserve the Treasure State’s story—good and bad—and share that story with its citizens. We are currently open to the general public from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

If you can’t make it to our Helena location, our website offers many educational and entertaining resources for you and your family. Specifically:

• Online resources and activities we feel may be of particular interest right now.
• Adults, complete our Montana Covid-19 Archive Survey to share today’s stories with future generations. Students can take the survey too!
• Check out our YouTube Channel and SoundCloud tracks to catch up on our many past programs that you might have missed.
• Explore our many digital resources.
• Engage with us on social media including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
