June precipitation ranged from less than 50% of normal to more than 150%.
June temperatures were somewhat below normal in New England, but well above normal elsewhere.
After four months in a row with above normal precipitation, the Northeast ended up drier than normal in June. The region’s monthly total was 89 percent of normal; state departures ranged from 63% of normal in Maryland to 127% of normal in Connecticut. Temperatures were on the warm side in June, especially during the early part of the month, when record breaking heat encompassed the region.
