March temperatures were extraordinarily warm, running from 7°F to 14°F above normal for most of the region.
As expected, March average temperatures were well above normal. This is the twelfth consecutive month that the Northeast has seen warmer than normal temperatures. All First Order Stations ranked within the top 5 warmest March’s and more than half ranked as the warmest on record.
