Welcome to the Caribbean Atmospheric Research Center ("Atmos Carib"), established since May 1st 1992. Our aim is to offer the most comprehensive weather and climate information for the Caribbean Region. We are continuously adding new data, so check this site frequently.

 

Atmos Carib Reseach Center is located at the University of Puerto Rico - Mayagüez Campus, and is affiliated with the National Climate Data Center in North Carolina and the Southeast Regional Climate Center in South Carolina. Our mission is to coordinate climate activities and to provide climate services. We prepare, publish and disseminate regular climate information for individuals and organizations whose activities are related to the welfare of Puerto Rico, and analyze climate data to determine trends and recurring cycles. All weather information provided is generated locally using UNIDATA software. We also provide data from other stations that is not available through the website. All this information is available for you upon request.

CoCoRaHS

  • CoCoRaHS is a unique, non-profit, community-based network of volunteers of all ages and backgrounds working together to measure and map precipitation (rain, hail and snow). By using low-cost measurement tools, stressing training and education, and utilizing an interactive Web-site, our aim is to provide the highest quality data for natural resource, education and research applications.
