What is RSS? RSS (Real Simple Syndication) is an XML-based document format for supplying or syndicating news and other timely information. Southwest Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC), provides a brief description of the information in an easy to understand and use format. RSS based "video readers" and "video aggregators" allow the display of RSS headlines on computers, as well as mobile devices enabled to view RSS video feeds.
Some Web browsers, such as Firefox, have RSS readers already added to them. You can search the Internet for stand alone RSS readers and aggregators.
SWFSC is providing RSS feeds for its Multimedia Video Collection. If the web browser you are reading this page with does not have a built-in RSS reader, you can copy and paste this link http://swfsc.noaa.gov/RSS_collection.aspx?show=true into your RSS reader of choice to view our video feed.
If you are reading this page with a built-in RSS reader, you can subscribe to our RSS Multimedia Video Collection here.
