We hold an annual CICS-MD Science Meeting in November. The goals of the meeting are to:

  • Spotlight the research activities carried out at CICS-MD;
  • Identify and promote new areas of research;
  • Help establish new collaborations within CICS-MD and with other UMD and NOAA units; and
  • Develop a sense of community among University and NOAA scientists.

The meeting is held for two days and sessions followed the CICS Research Topics. A poster session and icebreaker is also held the evening of the first day. We feature 50+ presentations from CICS-MD scientists and NOAA sponsors. These slides and posters are then archived on this website for easy access.

Additional outreach through communication occurs through seminar participation. CICS scientists participate in the AOSC and ESSIC seminar series, as well as give seminars and presentations at other institutions.
