Intermountain West Climate Summary (2005–2012)
About the IWCS
The WWA Intermountain West Climate Summary (IWCS) was intended to provide the latest climate information for Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming in a simple compact document aimed at water managers, planners and policy makers with water-related interests.
From 2005 to 2009, the IWCS was produced 8 times per year, as a PDF document. From 2009 to 2012, the IWCS was produced in a web-based (.html) format, 6 times per year, with the Feature and Focus articles produced as separate PDF documents.
In fall 2012, we opted to discontinue the IWCS, due to limited staff resources as well as our programmatic emphasis on developing new approaches to delivering climate information. In September 2012, we lauched the Intermountain West Climate Dashboard to provide more up-to-date climate graphics and information for our region. The Dashboard is supplemented by a monthly text briefing which will look familiar to readers of the IWCS.
