About the Libraries
The SWFSC maintains libraries at our facilities in La Jolla and Santa Cruz. Although our primary mission is to serve the research needs of SWFSC staff, the La Jolla and Santa Cruz libraries also provide services to the NMFS Southwest Region, other libraries, and the public by appointment.

Library Catalog
The holdings of the SWFSC La Jolla and Santa Cruz libraries can be searched through the NOAA Library Catalog. All NOAA libraries are searched by default, but you can limit to a specific library if desired (choose "Southwest Fisheries Science Center Library" for the La Jolla Library, or "SWFSC Santa Cruz Laboratory Library").
