Administration

CICS-MD is led by CICS Deputy Director Hugo Berbery with the support of the CICS Executive Director, Fernando Miralles-Wilhelm. Administrative work is handled by the CICS-MD Coordinator, Debra Baker.

ESSIC houses and provides financial, personnel, and information technology support to CICS-MD.  Acting ESSIC Director Fernando Miralles-Wilhelm, Deputy Director Phil Atkins, and Assistant Director Andrew Negri assist on managment and personnel matters. The ESSIC Business Office (EBO) manages the CICS-MD funding and accounting efforts as well as the subcontracts for CICS-NC and Consortium members. Sonja Junek is the Assistant Director who handles Human Resources and Heather Mattern is the Associate Director in charge of grants. Jeryl Martin-Hannibal processes all CICS-MD task proposals and Heather Mattern handles CICS-MD budgets with the help of Vivianne Shi.
