    According to CoreLogic, Nashville, TN is the windiest city in the US! Four of the top 10 are in our region.

    Tornado and hail reports in the SRCC region in 2016: AR - 23, 94; La - 31, 110; MS - 67, 167; OK - 55, 315; TN - 11, 74; TX - 90, 830.

    In the 80s there were 27 $1 billion dollar weather disasters; 90s - 48, 2000s - 54, 2010s so far, 74. TX has been especially hard hit.

    In 2016, there were 15 weather disaster events that caused more than $1 billion in damages; unfortunately, several were in the SRCC region.

    In 2016, some areas in the SRCC region were drier than normal, some wetter; however, everyone was significantly warmer than normal.
