Snowfall has been lacking so far this season.
So far this winter season, the only major snow event in the Northeast was the unusually severe late October storm. Several cities that normally see up to 40 inches of snow from October through December accumulated less than 6 inches through December 14th. With temperatures expected to remain above normal and precipitation amounts below normal for the next two weeks, Santa might need a different vehicle while making his rounds in the Northeastern US.
