A couple of strong thunderstorms are possible late this afternoon and evening, mainly south of the Shoals, Huntsville and Scottsboro areas. The stronger storms will produce wind gusts of 40 to 55 mph. Locally heavy rain amounts through tonight of 1 to 2 inches will be possible in some areas.
Showers and scattered storms will move east into locations near/east of I-65 through 2 PM. 1/4 to 1/2 of an inch of rainfall is possible in most areas. Locally higher amounts over 1/2 of an inch are possible west of I-65.
