NINDS staff are located in several buildings in suburban Maryland near Washington, DC. NINDS program directors, scientific review officers, grants management officers, and most administrative staff are located in the Neuroscience Center (NSC) Building in Rockville, Maryland. Additional administrative staff and most intramural scientific and clinical research staff are found in Buildings 10, 31, and the John Edward Porter Neuroscience Research Center on the main NIH Campus in Bethesda, Maryland.

If you are planning a visit to NIH and have determined that your meeting is at the NSC, there are several ways to get here: Upon your arrival, you will enter through the main lobby where you will be greeted at the security guard’s desk. Visitors who are not NIH employees most show a photo I.D. will be asked to sign in and will be issued a visitor’s pass. If you are carrying a laptop or other electronic equipment, you will receive a temporary property pass. In estimating your travel time, please allow for these security measures, particularly if you are arriving in a group.
