Services

We offer Marines two ways to connect:

Online Network
  • Our online network is comprised of Facebook, LinkedIn, and the M4L website.
    • We use our Facebook page and LinkedIn company page to connect Marine Veterans to our M4L resources and share good news stories in the program.
    • M4L uses LinkedIn groups for online networking opportunities. The Marine For Life LinkedIn networking groups consist of one national group, four regional groups, and several community-specific groups.
    • Our M4L website includes a resource library of valuable and up to date education, employment, and veteran resources.

Face-to-Face Interaction
  • When our customers are in search of a Face-to-Face connection, M4L will get them in contact with our field staff which includes Employment and Education Resource Managers, four Regional Network Coordinators and our growing number of M4L Representatives who are located throughout the nation. These in-person interactions focus on connecting Marine Veterans to local resources and encourages networking through M4L local events and meet ups.

Connections: M4L facilitates the connection of educational institutions, employers, and veteran organizations that have opportunities for Marines to Marines. Visit the “Resources” tabs below to review all these connection options.

Solar Ready Vets

The SunShot Initiative's Solar Ready Vets program connects our nation’s skilled veterans to the solar energy industry, preparing them for careers as solar photovoltaic (PV) system installers, sales representatives, system inspectors, and other solar-related occupations.

Student Veterans of America (SVA)

Provides the resources and support initiatives for education and employment. They advocate for veterans military education benefits in front of congress. They also provide Networking opportunities.

The Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship

The Marine Gunnery Sergeant John David Fry Scholarship provides Post-9/11 GI Bill® benefits to the children and surviving spouses of service members who died in the line of duty while on active duty after September 10, 2001. Eligible beneficiaries attending school may receive up to 36 months of benefits at the 100% level.

The Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA

The Survivors' and Dependents' Educational Assistance (DEA) Program offers education and training opportunities to eligible dependents of Veterans who are permanently and totally disabled due to a service-related condition or of Veterans who died while on active duty or as a result of a service-related condition.

Vet-Success on Campus (VSOC)

Provides outreach for VA education Benefits, health services and general benefits.

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E)

Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E) for veterans and service-members with a service connected disability. It provides them with an education to obtain employment if approved.

The Federal Government has made available a number of resources to assist service members and veterans into high-skill, good paying jobs in Registered Apprenticeship.

Boots to Business is an entrepreneurial education and  training program offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) as part of the Department of Defense’s Transition Assistance Program (TAP).

Marine Exeuctive Association

Provides assistance to Marines transitioning from active duty to reserve/retired status, leaving the Corps at the end of obligated service or moving from one civilian career to another. My Next Move for Veterans is designed for U.S. veterans who are current job seekers. The interactive tool helps vets learn about their career options. The site has tasks, skills, salary information, job listings, and more for over 900 different careers.

USA Cares provides a response within 48 hours to all requests, and can assist veterans with immediate financial and housing assistance, as well as limited job assistance.

Veterans Crisis Line

The Veterans Crisis Line connects Veterans in crisis and their families and friends with qualified, caring Department of Veterans Affairs responders through a confidential toll-free hotline, online chat, or text. Veterans and their loved ones can call 1-800-273-8255 and Press 1, chat online, or send a text message to 838255 to receive confidential support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Support for deaf and hard of hearing individuals is available.

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) offers a wide range of assistance programs aimed at helping veterans. Free, professional help filing or appealing a VA claim, offering scholarships for post-secondary education or providing emergency financial relief.

Veterans Service Organization

The Department of Veterans Affairs is responsible for keeping track of the Veterans Service Organization directory.  This directory is home to nonprofit organizations that provide nationwide services and are deemed as trusted resources.
