OneDOE

OneDOE is a complex-wide Diversity & Inclusion (D&I) campaign with a mission to build a more inclusive workforce and help the Department leverage diverse perspectives. The campaign will facilitate a culture of inclusion and build a community based on respect and empowerment in the workplace by bolstering new and existing D&I initiatives across DOE’s complex. OneDOE’s action plan prioritizes: demonstrating a commitment by leadership; resourcing and structuring a full program; training and educating all employees; increasing inclusivity in the workplace; and enabling more effective communication. This will be accomplished through activities including: training, focus groups, listening sessions, panel discussions, town halls, and additional workforce engagement events. The campaign will act as an umbrella to for activities taking place across the DOE complex by centralizing information and resources.

The OneDOE mission is founded on the following goals:

LEADER COMMITMENT - Gain Leader Commitment to ensure diversity and inclusion is practiced at all levels within DOE.

RESOURCES & STRUCTURE - Establish and resource structures to support DOE's workplace inclusion efforts. 

TRAINING & EDUCATION - Implement diversity and inclusion Training and Education programs to increase awareness, develop socio-cultural competencies and inclusion practices.

INCLUSIVE WORKPLACE - Create and maintain inclusive workplace environments where the value of diverse knowledge, experiences and backgrounds enhances mission accomplishment.

COMMUNICATION – Maintain effective, transparent, and consistent communication that focuses on addressing diversity and inclusion messaging across the DOE complex.
