Everybody Yoga

Baby and Toddler Storytime

These 20-30 minute story times are full of books, songs, rhymes and fingerplays for children birth to two years old. Our Baby and Toddler Story Time is a great way to introduce your child to language skills in a positive and fun environment. With slightly more activity and movement than our lap times, children and their grownups are encouraged engage with the books and songs and to actively participate in the program.

Heroes and Demi-Gods: The Rise and Fall Lecture Series

Kids' Club is our book club for readers ages 5-12. We meet every other Saturday from 2 - 3 p.m. Your child does not have to read the book ahead of time to participate. We will read a selection as a group then play a game or make a project. Children will be introduced to new titles so they can pick a perfect book to read at home. In the course of human religion, history and literature, there have been individuals who are understood to be - or are treated as if they are - somehow more than the rest of us.

Empowerment Through Music: Young Adult Titles

Mental Health in Young Adult Literature

The ability of young adult literature to address issues of identity in an open-handed and egalitarian way can't really be underestimated. Part of the appeal of young adult books is the opportunity they provide authors in allowing them to create characters to be earnest which sparks true, often pure, feeling in the reader. When characters are included who experience mental illness, a vehicle is provided for people to accompany someone on a journey to a conclusion - open-ended or not, happy or sad.

Get By With a Little Help From My Friends

Life is a series of connections; and these books, with their depictions of how we either miss the mark or somehow manage to land on the same page demonstrate (among other things) the ways in which our relationships dictate our paths. Some of them find a person slipping away from themselves while some demonstrate connections that give us clarity as we see ourselves mirror-reflected back. Some of the books also demonstrate relationships that are a part of our lives in order to provide a touchstone that lines the direction we ought to be walking, acting as sources of strength.
