Then please attend the Job Seekers Drop-In Clinic, which also includes the NorthStar Digital Literacy Assessment practice session. You will be able to accomplish the job-seeking tasks that support a successful job search and assess your basic digital literacy skills during Clinic hours.
A story time experience for our youngest library users and their caregivers. These 20-30 minutes story times introduce books, songs, rhymes, tickles and bounces developmentally appropriate for children ages birth to when they start walking. Baby Lap Time is a wonderful way to introduce your child to the joys of reading in a positive and fun atmosphere. This story time is designed so the baby will be in their caregiver’s lap and the grownup is actively involved in the program. It is recommended that each child have their own adult with them.
These 20-30 minute story times are full of books, songs, rhymes and fingerplays for children birth to two years old. Our Baby and Toddler Story Time is a great way to introduce your child to language skills in a positive and fun environment. With slightly more activity and movement than our lap times, children and their caregivers are encouraged to engage with the books and songs and to actively participate in the program.

Players will meet from 12 noon until 5 p.m. in the 2nd Floor East Lobby, adjacent to Room 220. Video and card players are welcome. Games are open to adults and teens and tournaments will be held once a year.

Have race relations in America improved or deteriorated since Barack Obama ascended to the White House?
The rash of police shooting deaths of unarmed black men has brought attention to the enduring problem of racial violence in the United States. According to data collected by the Washington Post in 2015, law enforcement officers killed 990 people, of which 258 were black. At present, there have been 703 documented deaths of which 173 were African-Americans. With several months left in the year, the number is expected to rise.
