The Nashville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers welcomes you to Dale Hollow Lake. Dale Hollow is a vacation destination that borders the Tennessee-Kentucky state line and each year the lake provides recreational opportunities to millions of visitors. Surrounded by a thick expanse of forest, the clear blue lake creates a stunning scenic backdrop for a variety of water and land recreational activities.  The temperate climate and relatively long recreation season, allows visitors to have many opportunities to fish, hunt, camp, picnic, boat, canoe, hike, scuba dive, ride horseback, and enjoy the great outdoors.

Dale Hollow Lake belongs to you.  Treat your lake and surrounding area with respect by keeping it clean and attractive.  Enjoy yourself, practice water safety, and have a safe visit.  Return often!

Corps of Engineers Year 2017 Annual Day Use Passes Available

The Corps of Engineers Annual Day Use Passes for the expiration year of 2018 are now available for purchase. The pass permits the holder to use Corps of Engineers boat launching ramps and swim beaches at day use recreation fee areas.  Each pass is valid one year from the date of purchase and costs $40.  Annual passes can be purchased beginning now at the Resource Manager's Office in Celina, TN from 7:30am to 3:30pm Central Standard Time.  During the recreation season, passes can be purchased at the following locations during regular business hours:  Dale Hollow Dam Campground 931-243-3554; Lillydale Campground 931-823-4155; Pleasant Grove Day Use Area 931-243-3555; Obey River Day Use & Campground 931-864-6209/931-864-6388; and Willow Grove Campground 931-823-4285.  Passes may also be purchased by mail order form.  For more information, or to request a mail order form contact the Resource Manager’s Office at (931) 243-3136.

 

 
Swinging Bridge at Pleasant Grove Closed

The swinging bridge at Pleasant Grove Recreation Area in Celina, TN is temporarily closed pending some safety repairs.  The recreation area remains open for launching, day use and picnicking.  During this time, the island trail will not be accessible via the swinging bridge.  A brace must be installed that requires access underneath the bridge.  We must wait on the lake level to rise for this repair to be completed.

WASHINGTON (Dec. 16, 2016) - The Department of the Army, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), today released and is seeking comment on a proposed rule to update and clarify its policies governing the use of USACE reservoir projects for domestic, municipal and industrial water supply pursuant to Section 6 of the Flood Control Act of 1944, 33 U.S.C. § 708 (Section 6), and the Water Supply Act of 1958, 43 U.S.C. § 390b (WSA).

Corps technical experts prep freshmen for future STEM careers
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Oct. 24, 2016) –Technical experts from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District prepared students for future STEM careers during the “My Future, My Way” Career Exploration Fair at two exhibits sponsored by the Metro Nashville Public schools Academies of Nashville and the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce at Music City Convention Center Oct. 27, 2016.

Dale Hollow Lake marinas recertified as ‘Clean Marinas’
ALLONS, TENN., (Sept. 9, 2016) – The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Nashville District recertified two Dale Hollow Lake marinas as “Clean Marinas” during ceremonies Aug. 26, 2016, which recognized the marina operators and owners who are voluntarily striving to protect the water resources of the Cumberland River Basin by going “clean and green.”
