Water Access Sites

WDFW maintains Water Access Sites throughout Washington state offering boaters and bank fisherman access to lakes and waterways.

Vehicle Access
A Discover Pass or Vehicle Access Pass is REQUIRED on all recreation sites owned by WDFW. Hunters, fishers, and trappers get a Vehicle Access Pass without additional cost, as part of their first annual license purchase excluding the annual shellfish license. Annual and One-day Discover Passes may be purchased separately. Learn more >>

Note: Not all WDFW Water Access Sites (boat launches) are open throughout the year. Some sites are open only during hunting and fishing seasons. Closures are necessary to comply with land owner agreements, and to manage limited maintenance funds. Please contact the nearest Regional Office for more information on scheduled closures.

GIS Data Catalog
The “GIS Data Catalog” on the WA State Geospatial Portal contains links that point to GIS data, web services and metadata hosted on state agency websites.  DFW GIS data sets include Water Access Sites available for download.
