The Discover Pass allows you to enjoy millions of acres of Washington state-managed recreation lands – including state parks, water-access points, heritage sites, wildlife and natural areas, trails and trailheads.

Annual Discover Pass

  • $35 from the WILD system (at a license dealer, on the internet or by phone 1-866-320-9933)
    $30 base fee, $3 (10%) transaction fee, $2 dealer fee
    Passes are also available for purchase at State Parks headquarters and region offices, and at state parks when staff is available.

Discover One-day Pass

  • $11.50 from the WILD system (at a license dealer, on the internet or by phone 1-866-320-9933)
    $10 base fee, $1 (10%) transaction fee, $.50 dealer fee
    Passes are also available for purchase at State Parks headquarters and region offices, and at state parks when staff is available.

The pass is required on state recreation lands and water-access sites managed by Washington State Parks (State Parks), Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) and Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR). These lands include state parks, water-access points, heritage sites, wildlife and natural areas, DNR and WDFW campgrounds, trails and trailheads and all DNR managed uplands (natural areas and trustlands, but not aquatic lands. Information for hunting and fishing license holders

Holders of certain hunting and fishing licenses do not need a Discover Pass on Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) lands and water-access sites; instead a Vehicle Access Pass for WDFW lands and water-access sites will be issued free with purchase of a big-game or small-game hunting license, western Washington pheasant permit, trapping license, or saltwater or freshwater or combination recreational fishing license. A Vehicle Access Pass is transferable between two vehicles.
