Volunteer Opportunities at

Lake Cumberland

Lake Cumberland offers many volunteer opportunities in recreation and natural resources management.  With over 100,000 acres of land and water to manage, volunteers are a vital part of our work force.  As a volunteer, you can gain valuable skills, meet new people, work outdoors, and in many cases see a new area of the county.  This gives many a proud sense of contributing to the conservation and management of our precious resources.

Volunteers at Lake Cumberland can…

Serve as campground host
Maintain trails and facilities
Remove trash and debris
Work at Lake Cumberland's Visitor Center
Assist with special events
Assist with clean-up activities
Construct fish attractors
For more information on becoming a volunteer, call the Natural Resource Management Office at

Volunteer opportunities with the Corps nationwide are available though the Volunteer Clearinghouse at 1-800-VOL-TEER (856-8337) or by visiting the Volunteer Clearinghouse Web Site.
